I am recruiting a Prototype Technician for a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier.
£25,000 - £30,000/annum
Reporting to the Engineering Director you will be responsible for producing prototype parts using various rapid prototyping methods.
The role is offered with a salary up to £30K
Key to the role is experience of using various rapid prototyping equipment to take designs from CAD files to finish, assembled items ready for shipment.
The Role
- Overseeing the creation of prototype parts through the operation of a range of Rapid Prototyping machines, including Selective Laser Sintering and Stereolithography.
- Preparing and uploading data to Rapid Prototyping machines, checking CAD files for suitability to run prototype builds.
- Prototype part finishing using hand and power tools.
- Assembly of prototype components.
- Organise machine schedules in line with prototype part requirements.
- Development of jigs, fixtures and assembly tools.
