Our prestigious client in the Marylebone area of London, is seeking applications for the post of Information Compliance Officer.

The post is permanent - although they would also at this stage welcome applications for those seeking a 4 day week and potentially part time.

Working in what is already a fully compliant GDPR compliant organisation, the Information Compliance Officer will ensure compliance with information law, as well as developing processes that promote efficient data handling whilst ensuring vital knowledge is captured and communicated.

You will be a Data / Information Compliance professional, who is comfotable operating at a senior level.

Directly responsible for the surety of information, particularly sensitive data, the ICO will be empowered to act, introducing new policies, processes and behaviours.

  • Act as Data Protection Officer.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with information law, and developing and maintaining the compliance programme.
  • Develop plans for, and manage work towards, accreditation through relevant codes of conduct and standards schemes.
  • Responsibility for overall records management and information architecture.
  • Determine performance metrics and manage ongoing strategic and operational plans to improve and update the information management environment, including working towards a “paper-light” system.
  • Responsibility for knowledge sharing programme which ensures vital knowledge of systems, processes and information assets is recorded and maintained effectively, supports co-ordinated working, and improves the way we work.
 
This is intially a two year initial fixed term permanent contract.
